This particular Shamiana came via my friend, Mildred, who had been traveling to India back and forth, for the last 45 years! Until her dying breadth, India was her country in body and soul. On her many numerous sojourns - she explored all of India and knew it's secret surprises and the best of what India had to offer. This was a 45 year love affair -and I loved indulging my own curiosity in her beloved finds and treasures. Which were too numerous, if that's even possible! The Shamania is one of the pieces I have left of her hefty Indian booty.The Shamiana is an Indian ethnic tent or shelter. Typically they are flat-roofed, however some do have a pointed top. These tents are traditionally used for outdoor parties, as a shading from the sun, for weddings, and even restaurants and hotels use them. Typically they use bamboo or metal poles, and a base plate depending on if the ground is hard or not.
The measurements are 116" across. This tent does not include the side panels or the support poles.

Warning: if you buy the color black, it will bleed and stain your pillows. This happened to me. I had to throw out my pillows. This issue does not sway my rating. The pillowcase is wrinkle-free and super soft. Fits standard-size and queen-size pillows. Quality and appearance are excellent. After my unfortunate purchase of the black pillowcases, I purchased the white, and I’m very happy I did. I gave a 5-star rating because they are beautiful and of great quality.

LOVE this silk pillowcase!

I have been wanting a silk pillowcase for awhile but wasn't sure if I would like sleeping on one. Much to my delight, I LOVE sleeping on a silk pillowcase and this one is quite nice. First- I love that it fit my oversized pillow. I ordered a queen size and I had some room to spare without it being overly big. I also love that it has a zipper close so the pillow case stays on well and doesn't move around too much. I washed it before using and let it air dry and the pillow case didn't have any wrinkles which is wonderful. It stays cool to sleep on and my skin and hair love it!

Note that the fabric is thin and the pillow may show through. A plain white pillowcase underneath easily resolves this. Still a recommended buy — exceptionally soft and very inexpensive!

Silk pillow cases that are a stitch above

These pillow cases are amazing. My family loves them. Great quality. They can be machine washed. I have purchased the more expensive brands but these are made from the same silk and have the same features like a hidden zipper for a fraction of the cost. They come in a variety of colors which is also an added bonus.

Cute, soft, and warm!

Super soft and super warm! This nice and thick blanket feels so nice when you wrap yourself up in it; and it’s just big enough to do exactly that!
I’ve washed it a few times and it comes out even softer and fluffier than when I put it in the washer; and no issues with losing fluff or thinning/tears.
I love the cow pattern too!
